As a member of the
NHS, you have full access rights to
our services but if your are a
student on placement in NHS South
Central, your main library will be
your University or College library.
Services at the NHS library may be
limited.

Books
We
stock over 7.500 books, most of
which can be borrowed for 4
weeks. Please search the
catalogues at:

there, please let us know and we
can either try and borrow it
from another library at a charge
of £2.00, or purchase it for
stock, depending on the title.
Journals
We
take 70 print titles covering a
core range of topics which can
be searched at
http://stlis.thenhs.com/hln/oxon/hgm.asp and have access to 1000s more
via the National core content
collection of journals available
in full text from any computer
at work or at home, see National
Core Content below. Any articles
we do not have in the library
can usually be provided from
elsewhere for a charge of £2.00
per article.
Clinical
Databases MEDLINE, EMBASE, CINAHL,
PsychINFO, BNI, AMED are
available under Books, Journals
and Bibliographic databases on
the
National Library for Health
home page, together with many
other useful information sites.

material
We
have a small collection of
reports and other material on
our catalogue, most of which can
be borrowed for a week at a
time.

We
will undertake any search for
you to support your clinical
needs. If you need to do a
literature search for your
educational course, we are happy
to assist you and offer a
one-to-one training session at a
time to suit you.
The
National Core Content Collection This is an NHS National Library
for Health initiative giving
access to over 1000 journals in
full text using your Athens
password which you can get by
going to
National Library for Health
and registering your details.
